Amy Lou Adams is an American actor who has been praised for her portrayals of innocent and charming characters. Adams was the youngest of seven children who lived as a young child in the city of Castle Rock, Colorado. She was born while her father worked in the U.S. Military in Italy. Then, in the latter part of 1990s, she started professional dance and acting in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. After moving to Minnesota and appearing in the mock-documentary film Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) about beauty pageants. Leigh was discovered by actress Norma Shearer and was offered a contract to be a part of MGM during the 1940s. In the 1960s, Leigh starred in films that were popular, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho as well as Living It Up.
